Where did that name come from?

Well, so I did it.  I started a Blog.  I have thought several times in my life that I would try my hand at writing.  I have written songs, poems, lots and lots of letters, and more recently emails, facebook updates and tweets.   I took creative writing and found that well, I wasn't that creative.  I write more about non fictional things, emotions and feelings, and philosophies on life- and those seem to suit me better.    I have been told I have excellent written communication skills, which is good because at times I can trip over my words when I try to verbally communicate.   Probably my favorite thing about written communication is that you can get out all you want to say before anyone interjects or interrupts.   Kinda selfish, but its the truth.

I turned 35 this past year, got a promotion,  moved to a different state, and bought and sold a house.  These are all things I will probably blog about but not here, not today.  I just wanted to put up my first post before 2010 was gone, and the new year was here.

I have been thinking about starting a blog for about a year now, and got even more inspired when I watched the movie Julie and Julia (kinda cheesy).   I don't have a cool project or quest to blog about (yet), but I kind of like the idea of typing whats on my mind and if someone wants to read it, cool.  If not, also cool.

So, Hey Little Red Head....where's that from?  For those of you that know me, the "Little Red or Lil Red" nickname has followed me since I was a small child because of my hair color.  But the phrase I used to name my blog is something my Aunt Mary Kay used to say/sing to me when she would see me up at my Nani's house when I was little.   I would reply with, "Hey Little Black Head" (she of course had blackish brown hair).   So, the little tradition continued, until many of my family and friends called me "Red" or "Little Red", and it just stuck.

So I guess stay tuned if anyone is reading this.   I am sure I will find lots to write about as my life has never been dull or boring.
